K.C. Charnes, CSMI, CUMI

     Chief Instructor for Advanced Training Resources, LLC is Kerry C. Charnes.  K.C., as he is generally known, was born in Bedford, Indiana and lived the first 6 months of his life in his Father's hometown of French Lick, Indiana.   His parents then moved north to his Mother's hometown and he was raised in central Michigan.  From the time he was 8 years old his family was involved with a well known 12-Step Program and so he was exposed to the power of positive thinking and concepts of personal growth at an early age. 

     He worked 25 years in the Human Services, first with a Community Action Agency, and then 20 years in the Mental Health System doing individual and group counseling on an outpatient basis.  It was while working as a counselor in the early 80s that he attended his first Silva Method training and, because of his family's history and his professional background, he immediately realized the importance of Jose Silva's work.  He has been involved with the Silva system ever since, reviewing classes whenever possible, taking advanced classes, and ultimately becoming certified as a Silva Method Instructor and a Silva UltraMind Instructor.

     Charnes has a variety of interests.  After leaving the Mental Health field he operated a portable sawmill service in central and northern Michigan for 10 years along with building rustic furniture and small log cabins.  He produced a weekly 2-hour FM radio program on Traditional Country Music for 2 years and has done volunteer work with the local Public Access Television Station.  He's been a founding member of several local non-profit organizations and one national organization and served on the local county Parks and Recreation Board for several years.  He enjoys tent camping, canoeing, playing bluegrass music, is a private pilot, an Army Veteran, and is member of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, the American Legion, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Local 3977.

Michigan Instructor Completes Additional Training  

June, 2006, Elm Grove, Wisconsin:  Certified Silva Method Instructor K.C. Charnes recently completed additional training with Sister Naomi Curtin in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.  She has taught the  Silva Method for 30 years and keeps an active schedule of instruction in Wisconsin.  Among the approximately 1000 Silva Method Instructors worldwide, Sister Naomi is well known for her expertise, energy and dedication to helping people learn practical ways to achieve more of what they want in life.
